After reading many reviews about linen napkins, I almost did not order any: complaints about bad smell, seams in the middle, bad seams, etc. This product was a little more expensive, but the reviews were better. I ordered the largest size offered, 12 x 15. The cotton duck is strong and heavy. No seam in the middle. This is an impressive one-of-a-kind piece of fabric! The stitching around the edges isn't the prettiest, but that's not a problem for my purposes. We paint quite a bit and this fabric is great for that as it's heavy enough to stay in place, covers most of the area and is thick enough to prevent gradients and stains. In this case I will win. Not for painting but to protect a leather sofa from two kittens we adopted. Without the mattress topper, the sofa would have been shredded by now, and the kittens' climbing and jumping seems unrelated to cotton duck fabric. I think this is her favorite playground now! I could use these doilies as large patio or porch curtains but that would require hefty hooks as they are quite heavy. I made the right decision by choosing this napkin. !
