To be honest I wasn't expecting much but we've been lighting these 'candles' for 6 months now, 6 hours every night. 1080 hours and only one "candle" needed a battery change a few days ago. Others still shine as advertised. We live in So. California and they are in our pavilion. Correct, not in bad weather, which can be the case in other parts of the country. Last season [winter], however, it rained more than usual, and one of the candles on the railing was filled with water where the "flame" is. I'm pretty sure it's been like this for a week now. I emptied it, wiped it, inspected the interior, and that evening, I suspect, the light was on even when it rained. There were no leaks at all. The "flame" flickers, the wax doesn't melt in the heat and they lasted [at least] 6 months on 1 set of [AA] batteries. Absolutely happy with them. To the extent that I plan to order 2-3 more sets to put along the path to the gazebo where the solar led garden lights are. Which usually work for about an hour and then dim. Not durable as I would like to hope. They should, since they were so reliable in the pavilion.
