I have been using manual controls for over 18 years following a spinal cord injury. They are incredibly easy to install. I installed them myself on my 2019 Honda Odyssey. As long as the wing nuts are tightened, they will stay in place. I am currently using them as temporary grips and will be installing Sure Grips soon but will be keeping them for travel and rentals. I've been using them for a few days now and haven't had any problems. Just make sure they are well secured.
