Nice tool that makes this job easier.

I know there are tricks to removing the Polaris clutch but why take the risk when the puller is so cheap? This makes disengaging the clutch on Polaris motors so easy that the tool pays for itself the first time you use it in the time saved alone, and it feels like this tool is made well enough to last for years. I've been a technician for over 30 years and I know the difference between a quality tool, a decent tool and junk. This means that a quality tool is a designation for a decent tool, meaning it is well made, the material it is made of. of seemingly high quality and you should only get great service from this tool. With this tool and hand tool it took me about 3 minutes to remove the old clutch. If I used pneumatic tools it would take 20 seconds. Even so, in any case you must use a rod inserted into the clutch and then turn the clutch (by turning the motor manually) until that rod is keyed in the frame, as the clutch requires a significant amount of effort to disengage from the crank . Without a rod to keep the clutch from turning, you can't even pull this clutch out with air tools! I first used a 30" 1/2" breaker to loosen the clutch, at this point I was able to easily twist the puller all the way to fully loosen the clutch. This tool didn't even "flinch" even though I applied an estimated 350-400 lb-ft of torque to it to break the clutch.
