I am amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

I chose the HD 560S for my father, as for a man who has only recently decided to start his audiophile journey. In my own collection I have an HD 660S and an Audeze LCD-X 2022 and of course I compared the 560S with them. Exactly like I compared them with the closest competitors in the face of HD 600, HD 650 and Beyerdynamic DT 770/880/990. What can I say: HD 560S are really great headphones, after the release of which, it becomes difficult to consider something else in this price category. They don't have the "skinny" and aggressive sound of the Beyerdynamics, they don't have the "veil" of the HD 650 and they have bass that the HD 600 lacks. The sound is "correct", "rich", and for its price, very detailed. At the same time, the headphones are absolutely unpretentious to the path. There is no difference in sound at all, which is paired with an EVGA NU Audio sound card (op amps are replaced by Muses02), which is paired with a stand-alone Sony TA-ZH1ES amplifier and for a beginner and his first Hi-Fi headphones, on the one hand, this is very cool . But on the other hand. Buying an HD 560 or 660S, you get headphones that scale perfectly when connected to expensive DACs and amplifiers. They scale so much that as an upgrade you will have to consider models with their price approaching a hundred thousand. What if we compare the HD 560S with them (that is, with the HD 660S and HD 650)? Well, the 560S, of course, are both louder and far behind in terms of resolution, and they have a lot of bass, and it is not so well controlled, and the top sounds a little synthetic, with a touch of "sand". But, sorry, the same HD 660S cost exactly twice as much. At the same time, the 560S also has advantages in comparison with them: they have a wider stage, there are no holes in it, that is, it extends in a single line, and not like the 660S, which play either in the center, or in the right channel, or in left. They don't have a "blockage" in the upper case, like the HD 650. In general, a cool option for those who want to get good sound here and now, without any extra investment. I recommend! My photos.

Pros
  • Comfort fit, design, sound, price
Cons
  • Quality of plastic: it is quite cheap, with traces of recycling. I also didn't like the design of the headband. It is simply glued to the carrier arc and changing it to a new one is quite problematic, if at all possible. There are small complaints about the cable: it gets tangled. There is no way to connect headphones to the balanced output of the amplifier. However, this is not critical.
