Review on ๐ŸŽง Sennheiser HD 560S Audiophile Headphones: Neutral Frequency and Wide Sound Field Technology with Black Open-Back Earcups and Detachable Cable by Firash Hakimi

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am one hundred percent satisfied with the purchase, I recommend this product to everyone.

Before that, I had headphones - the old budget Phillips SHP2700 and the new AudioTechnica AR5BT. AudioTechnics had problems with lows, the bass guitar was almost completely lost on them. And Phillips - they are very budgetary, but the sound was not bad, but like through cotton wool. But Sennheiser is a completely different level of sound! So, comparing with what I have, Sennheiser's sound is just crystal clear, smooth, I didn't notice distortions. But there was no WOW effect either. Do not expect some kind of supersonic, a sense of presence (although on some compositions the scene feels good like that - who sits where, so the source also decides), as many write, these are exactly neutral headphones for analytical listening. This is exactly what I was looking for and got what I wanted. I want to separately note that bass guitars, double basses, drums, and indeed the lower range - work out just fine, no hooting, clear sound, I really liked it. The voices are also very good. The top - all sorts of cymbals, bells and others - is also heard clearly and legibly. So these are just good (excellent) smooth-sounding, well-made headphones.

Pros
  • Sound! What they write and say in the reviews is all true - the lower ones, the middle ones, and the high ones play well. Instruments are distinguishable, everything is clean and clear. Landing, dimensions and weight are quite pleasant, you can really sit with them for a long time and not notice. Even after turning off the music, I sit in them for a while, I just forget to take them off, they donโ€™t interfere so much. The headphones look quite presentable, nothing creaks, they are regulated normally. I would say even ascetic - there is nothing superfluous. The materials are pleasant, the velor is very pleasant. The cable and adapter - in appearance, and in sound, are quite normal.
Cons
  • - The plug in the headphone cup is a specific 2.5 mm with a lock (see photo), while it has 4 pins (and there are 3 of them at the output!), and is very long, goes deep into the body of the cup. Nowhere is it written about this, it was a surprise for me whether it would be possible to find an adequate replacement in which case - for me the question is open. - Not a minus, but everywhere they write that it works with different sources. Yes it works. But I personally lack them in terms of volume from mobile devices. I connected it directly to the Google Pixel 4a and via the Dragonfly Black DAC, but it didnโ€™t help much either, it was a little louder. But through the laptop and the same DAC, the sound, firstly, is more interesting and better, and secondly, itโ€™s loud enough, itโ€™s enough for me. This is not a minus for the headphones, they have such a resistance of 120 ohms, of course, a more powerful source is needed. Just misinformation for those who write that they play everywhere. Keep in mind. - Not a minus, but lacks a folding design or cover. It's scary to throw them in a backpack, I'll think about where to find a cover.

change the wire for sure. 3m is too much for a home studio.
