I bought the 1st unit and it only burned for 2 minutes before running out of fuel. get a replacement device. He has the same problem. I called Zippo to find out what was going on. Their representative said the machine is not designed to run for more than 2 minutes because it is only meant to light candles on a birthday cake. What? The representative said that it was not designed for this type of operation. And why a long flexible neck? Just to light the candles in the votive holder. Are you serious? They told me that this device is not designed to burn for more than 30 seconds and for that they have a special mechanism to keep the secondary flame in strong winds. Obviously they have some of the most ignorant people on planet earth. Why would you buy an expensive flexible neck device that can only burn for 30 seconds? To light the igniter, the light often needs to be active for 2-3 minutes while you purge the gas line. I'm still looking for a good solution. The Bic has a refillable folding lighter with a window that shows fuel level and burns for 10 minutes. I think that should be my decision. And that for $4.45. I think Zippo's marketing department sniffed too much lighter fluid. But I am sure they will light many candles. LAUGH OUT LOUD. tjcooper
