I lost on this one! "MADE IN CHINA" wins! Nice design. But of course the "fit and finish" failed again! I walk through the stages of dyno testing. Connected my classic CB to the mains. Have my SWR meter ready. I start assembling the antenna. BOOM! The whip is not included in the base. The hole in the base is too small. I make sure the small hex nut is fully loosened. But the whip is too big for this hole. Easy thing. But when you're waiting for it and having trouble configuring it, it's frustrating to find such a simple thing. He SHOUTS "I'm in China and I don't care about quality!" I've now been thrown. I often buy Chinese crap because I know I need to fix it right away. But it was so easy I thought I was safe. Either I'll dig a little further tomorrow. Or just send it back. If I send it back I may only have to fix the replacement. I'll decide after I've had a drink. Chinese manufacturing wins this round!
