Be careful not to cut the strings

Bought a replacement hydraulic filter for my Dirty Hands 22 ton log splitter as they were out of stock at DH. Works just as well, however it is very easy to mix up the threads. I turn it back until I feel it sit down, then turn it on. If WIX could handle its multi-threading better, I would give it 5 stars.

Doesn't flow in the right direction for my use

I bought this to replace the Baldwin BT839-10 in my MotorVac because the filter was never changed. When I installed it the gas was not flowing in the right direction and when I removed it the gas in the filter was under pressure even though it had theoretically released all the pressure. After installing the native filter, everything worked. This filter has been listed by WIX as a direct replacement.

What can I say when it's the BEST?

I use this 51551 WIX or NAPA Gold 1551 exclusively on my Hustler Super Z Zero Turn. There is no point in using cheaply made filters of low to no quality on expensive equipment that you make money from. Break down all the other filters along with those in WIX for each application and you'll see what I'm talking about. WIX is simply the best, highest quality filter you can buy at any price point. I also use WIX for our cars.

Hydraulic fluid flows more freely

I replaced the #100116 Dirty Hands log splitter hydraulic filter with this 51551 WIX filter and it all fits and flows well. an hour of splitting so hot you couldn't keep your hand on the cylinder for very long after replacing it with a WIX filter. I find it flows much better than DIRTY HANDS 100116 because the cylinder doesn't heat up as quickly and I can tell that it doesn't heat up either which allows the hydraulic fluid to flow much more freely

Fits 22 Ton Dirty Hand Tool Separator

This Wix hydraulic spin-on filter is a direct replacement for the dirty hand tool separator. I have a 22 ton model that exceeded my expectations and is a great splitter. I used this Wix filter #51551 as well as Baldwin filter #BT839-10. Both filters are of excellent quality and have had no problems.
