Just another confirmation to what i've written below. They last me about two years before the heel wears through; that's excellent. they maintain their support far better than the expensive TEDs. Change daily, wash normal cycle. Just like medical socks, HANG THEM UP TO DRY. They maintaint their shape, support and size that way.I see there are competititve brands that are much more popular, but I've now had my first set of 8 for coming up on two years, and I'm sticking with these.I broke both lower legs about forty years ago, and out of necessity and on the recommendation of the docs I've worn medical (i.e., expensive) TEDs ever since. Never occurred to me there would be a perfectly acceptable alternative until I saw some at a store and tried them. Their compression was (way) too strong so I started poking around on Ebay and picked these - MUCH less expensive than the medical things, and for the cost they were worth trying.Hallelujah. These have been superb. For me, they've given me at least as good if not better support than the medical socks, hold their support elasticity FAR better, and after almost two years it looks like over the next several months I may start to wear through the heels. I wear nothing but these eight pair, rotating daily and (obviously) washing weekly. For size, fyi, I'm a pretty normally proportioned small guy of 5'7" with a size 9 shoe. The S/M are perfect.I'm totally sold on these socks. I'm today ordering another set of eight to stick in the drawer for when the heels of the first set start to go. I'll be a lifetime customer.
