This chair may be rated at 500 pounds but definitely does not leave the user feeling comfortable. First of all, I am very surprised that there is no tilting mechanism at all. No one. This is very strange and amazing. Second, I'm very tall, which means my hips hang down at the ends. I do not recommend this chair if you are about 6ft 1in tall. Third, cushioning and breathability are surprisingly low for the material presented on the outside. I feel very warm in this chair and sometimes I have to put a towel underneath to absorb some of the sweat dripping from my body. The cushion is not comfortable at all. It seems that there is a very thin layer of foam underneath, and that's it It says it's a 24/7 chair, but it's not. The fourth and final problem I had, and perhaps the biggest, was noise. The chair is SCREAMING and SCREAMING so loud now. I've owned it since last September and this is unacceptable. Maybe a metal frame, maybe 500 pounds, but this chair makes more noise than a $50 chair bought at a local office supply store. This chair isn't worth $240! If I could return it I would. But now I'm sitting at this chair until I find another replacement.
