Built Like Tanks - Home Office Furniture

Judging by the packaging, the weight in the box was 68 pounds (30 kg). Lots of shiny chrome, like a 1950's car. Assembly was easy but a little tedious. You can use the supplied Allen key, but a ratchet socket will make your life easier. IMPORTANT: Other reviewers claim that this chair does not recline. That is not right. Grab the control handle with your right hand, pull it out (away from the chair) and then push it back with your feet. If the resistance is too high, you will need to loosen the

Pay attention to sizes and details. You get what you pay for.

Well, it's my fault I chose this chair because of the weight and it "looked" the same as my good office chair at work. When I saw the box I was wary as the box was in poor condition when it arrived and there was no inner packaging on the chair other than thin bubble wrap. The clasps were open but luckily I found them all. The chair is well assembled but once assembled it was obvious that this was a fake of a much nicer chair. the seams are uneven and the staples don't even sit properly in all…

After two years with chair

So this year I have two years and here's what I think: overall this is a decent chair. It's wide, which we bigger boys like (5ft 7in, 350lbs). One of the levers had a socket/nut (don't know what you call it) that never accepted a bolt. I'm sure I contacted the company but never got a reply. I was annoyed that the chair I paid $240 for had back problems but then again this can be considered a cheap chair. I'm not sure good chairs are coming these days. One of the levers tends to weaken. I have…

Heavy Duty – Home Office Chairs

Recently I was looking for a comfortable chair that would meet the demands of frequent use throughout the day. Although I'm not big or tall, I wanted something strong. At first I was disappointed when I saw the condition of the box when it was placed on my doorstep. I thought the chair was damaged and parts were missing. Needless to say I checked the package, received all the parts and for the most part everything looked genuine. Assembly took about 30 minutes. It's convenient, but it would be…

Chair does not live up to expectations despite marketing

This chair may be rated at 500 pounds but definitely does not leave the user feeling comfortable. First of all, I am very surprised that there is no tilting mechanism at all. No one. This is very strange and amazing. Second, I'm very tall, which means my hips hang down at the ends. I do not recommend this chair if you are about 6ft 1in tall. Third, cushioning and breathability are surprisingly low for the material presented on the outside. I feel very warm in this chair and sometimes I have to…

Big Guy's Newfound Support

My old office chair, mostly plastic (industrial grade but plastic) broke as soon as I intuitively knew it was time for an upgrade. I immediately felt the difference in the heavy casters, steel frame and armrests of this new chair. It's day and night when I feel safe sitting on it. Working comfortably for two weeks and all day (thanks to COVID WFH). Assembly was a bit tricky as the cushions are completely plush and you have to squeeze them with one hand while holding the brace with the second…

I love this chair. That's convenient. Good for a big, big guy. A little less than two years have passed. Then one of the wheel mounts broke off. Because the base of the star on these chairs is very often a truncated corner, and the rings are simply welded on with staples. In this case it's bad. That's the problem. The gas cylinder in this chair is not a standard size. More broadly, this means I can't just swap out the chair base with one of the many great replacement options. Literally only one
