Overall this device is of good quality and works well. However, I have a few caveats: First, the instructions are poor. It is not allowed to install a swing door with hinges on the side opposite to the normal side. Because the instructions insist on installing in a certain way, without considering installations that don't match what they suggest by default, you'll have to make adjustments to the installation yourself. (My door has hinges on the left side of the key, so I had to turn it upside down, not that way). It's not just the lack of approvals for other door hanging options, the instructions are just plain bad in general, in part because they try to cram multiple languages onto one sheet. Second question. The strike plate to be mounted on the door frame had an opening that was too small for the door mechanism, so the door could not be locked during assembly. A sizing issue can easily be confirmed by attempting to place a striker plate over the mechanism prior to installation. I don't know if they contained the wrong record or if it was a manufacturing issue. I plan to try widening the hole with a drill and pliers but there is no excuse for a door knob not to come with a properly designed/manufactured striker plate. At the moment I'm just using an old strike plate, although the hole on this one is a bit too big and allows you to push/pull the door about a quarter of an inch.
