Better than nothing when I put it on the alternator handle one side didn't go down far enough for the screw to line up with the other side where the female steps are. The problem is that the metal tabs on the end of the handle weren't properly formed during the manufacturing process. I read that another buyer had the same problem and took a drill to go through the bottom of the plastic handle to get the screw to line up with the other side. NO DO NOT DO THAT! Place the guard on the handle, use a small nail bar to reach the end tabs and carefully pry the tabs away from the handle without damaging the plastic handle. You only need about 1/4 inch of the bend to set it right, then the screw goes through to mate on the other side. Don't use pliers to bend the strut, you'll damage the finish and it scratches very easily, so use a small pry bar.
