At first use it was a bit stiff but I stopped feeling pain at the ball of my wrist (which would happen with every single flat mousepad.) It got more and more comfortable through the weeks but said comfort was from the gel pad getting deformed. At the 40-day mark it deformed to the point where the seams came loose. I noticed because the gel leaked out and got sticky haha.Admittedly I do have a very bad habit of applying heavy pressure on my wrists and I think that contributed to the early demise of this mousepad. My colleagues have been using them as well without any issues (the padding shape on their mousepads is fully intact.)
