This is my favorite ESC signal cable, 26ga is the most common but I find 30 easier to work with and lighter (we're talking a gram or two for the whole build, that's not a lot lol) and even more flexible . The main reason is that it's much easier to fit onto pre-soldered FC pins than 26ga. On a fresh build 26 it's ok because the pins aren't soldered yet and you can just stick a wire in and solder a little and that's it. But if you have leads already soldered on you'll thank me because 30 AWG is so much easier to hit, it's not even funny. Instead of just running the wire over the pad and soldering 30, you can tuck it in as it should. much less chance of the wire coming loose this way and costing you the quad if it happens at the wrong time. plus much less likely to cause a short circuit. 26 AWG is stronger than 30, yes, but if you put that much pressure on the wire you will still lift the pads since the wire is stronger than the pads. Remember that this type of cable carries only one signal, be it from FC to ESC or from VTX to Cam. or it can carry 5V or 12V at 1 to 3 amps, and a 30 AWG wire can easily handle that. To be honest there is no point in using anything thicker than 30 AWG as it is easier to process, more flexible, lighter, easier to solder and better suited to FC pins. this makes assembly neater and cleaner. Works great for VTX and cam wiring. I ALWAYS keep that handy. I always keep yellow, blue, green and black as I install all my quads. blue signal, green sound, yellow video and black background. I've painted them this way since the first KK board came out. I don't even have to think about it, these colors are like the back of my hand to me. If you color-code your wiring every time a specific color is used for a specific use, you automatically know which wires go where. This was a big problem in the days when PWM was a pre-production protocol, as wiring sometimes got out of hand and was a big mess. But that means you have a simple wiring map.
