I just used my new FS200 to film our dog doing an agility test last weekend. Built-in microphone is sufficient Very small, fits well in a small "men's handbag" Image stabilization (digital) is good enough for my needs Zoom is very good for my needs Cons: Bundled software is bulky Power button is not the best place (nit) Without a tripod, zooming in and out makes it difficult to keep the camera steady Overall, I'm quite happy with the purchase. The cost was what I was willing to pay and I don't need HD quality, the quality of this camera is what I expected and needed. I like its size, easily fits in a pocket. The zoom is quite good. I personally find it easier to just remove the card and transfer it to a computer than using the installed software. The software is pretty weak, so I used Windows Movie Maker (after migrating from the .mod format with SD Copy). I used the zoom when filming, I used the thumb switch on top of the camera to zoom in and then used the "W" button on the pop-up viewfinder to zoom out. This helped a little to keep the image stable. Overall I am happy with the purchase and would recommend this camera to a friend looking for a budget camcorder. I almost bought a new Kodak pocket camera (KI8) but I'm glad I bought this one with better optical zoom. You can watch my YouTube videos under the username bachnr. The earlier ones were taken from a cheaper camera. Those of Davie County Agility and later were shot with this camera.
