I ordered my daughter half a size up but she still complains that the sides are too hard and uncomfortable. Hopefully just because they're new and she can break them in. They also don't have actual laces to loosen or tighten, so that might be an issue too, but hopefully not! Again, the shoes themselves are very cute and look just like the picture.
