Review on Retro Westmark Aluminum Coated Olive Pitter: Efficient Kitchen Tool for Easy Olive Preparation by Christina Martin

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Too big hole. Not for small olives

I bought this because the specs in the description said "special bowl for big and small olives" they didn't say it's NOT TRUE FOR THE HOLE! I have "trillion" small salted olives off my tree and this has been a big deal for me (and for anyone who deals with smaller olives). LOTS of "meat" or "meat" around it and with a bit of olive, meaning a very thin layer of meat is left in the bowl. It's fine to leave the cap on the top and/or bottom of the bone, I've had other bones and that's fine, but they had a smaller hole and there was very little or no meat left around the bone (I wish , I could find these older models). , so I thought this "retro" might be it). hole so you can really gauge its size and it is a very important part of any stoner. I thoughtfully gave it 2 stars (since the only other reviewer said it "works well with regular and large sizes"). of some larger olives...a really 'educated' choice. I specifically looked at 3 more, all very similar if not identical in names and/or photos. But ll 4 Westmark / Matfer Bourgeat spoke of different characteristics and so it was like comparing apples and pears. These are the other 3: [ASIN: B00DQVO9Q6 Westmark Olive Corer] [ASIN: B000V22YRO Westmark Olive Corer/Corner] [ASIN: B000LCLJR0 Westmark Aluminum Olive Corer] In short, if you need a crutch for small olives, stay away from this one and good luck in finding the right one (if so, let me know!)
