I ordered the L for my son in Dark Red. It is a deep burgundy, with a hint of plum. The coat fits him perfect, he loves it and he gets compliments on it all the time. It's warm enough for "most" Michigan winter days. (He's at university, and outside walking around campus so he's a good judge of whether it's warm enough.) Yes, I would recommend this product, especially at the very fair price it is marketed at.
