I recently had a scooter accident while wearing this jacket. I was driving and minding my own business when some idiot ran a red light at an intersection and I nearly hit him. I managed to hit the brakes and go off the road but was thrown off the scooter at around 20-40 km/h. Luckily I fell pretty well and was able to roll over my shoulder. The foam shoulder pad did the job of protecting my shoulder from the pavement and the jacket didn't suffer one bit. I survived the accident with a dislocated wrist and multiple lacerations on my leg. Apart from the protection it offers, the jacket looks really cool and is very comfortable. The removable inner lining is extremely practical for the transition between spring/summer/autumn. Some idiot hit me from behind at 50 km/h and I fell onto my side with no warning and no way to control myself. An eyewitness said he literally saw me bounce off the sidewalk. The jacket protected me well and had little to no damage after the accident. I landed very hard on my shoulder and elbow and although I had some pretty bad bruises there was no swelling or broken bones. All in all I think the jacket is very successful.
