Needs serious work

The exterior of this case is beautiful. I was quick to give it 4 stars originally but wanted to update my rating after a month of use. I use it minimally so it just sits around most of the time. After two weeks of use, the cord started to fall off the edge. It was several inches long so I had to cut it off. The cover appears slightly frayed at the edge where it has been peeled off. All my other covers turned off the iPad when you closed it. Not this one. Apparently it's too soft to close. The simple fix is to just turn off your iPad when you're done. An extra piece of elastic to keep it closed is good. The corners are useless here. Its angles are approximately 30 degrees and 20 degrees. I can't get it at the right angle to see it. They're so far behind you might as well not have them. Unless it's in landscape mode, it won't even hold an iPad. I like that it's soft and the corners seem to protect the corners of the iPad a bit, but the question is if dropping it on a corner will actually save the iPad when it hits a right corner. The lid rotates to adjust for landscape or portrait orientation. This REALLY causes a big problem. Holding it in my hands, I have to hold both the front and back covers, otherwise everything spins. If you're looking for a beautiful lid with little to no function, then this is your lid. I would not recommend this product if you plan to use a hands-free kit.
