This product is well made and works great in the summer as it reflects the sun and heat off the windows of our 5 wheeler campers. This definitely lowers the room temperature and allows the air conditioner to work more efficiently. In winter it helps to insulate windows because the product has small air pockets built into the structure that act as an insulator. Overall a great product. Be sure to choose the right size for your needs. I prefer a size slightly larger than the window itself to allow for full coverage and some overlap. If you choose anything smaller than the window, you will not get the full benefits of the product. In my opinion this product should be used indoors and not outdoors. I do not recommend cropping it to fit the window as it has machined edges which may unravel when cut or cause problems with the product. Instead I would just fold it to fit and leave the finished edges intact.
