🏕️ Camco 45167 SunShield Reflective RV Door Window Cover - UV Ray Protection and Temperature Regulation - 16.25" (L) x 25.25" (W) Review

I bought this door cover after looking at my friend's camper van. I was skeptical because of all the reading, pictures and velcro. I went camping and my friend had an RV in front of the door. I checked it out and realized how useful it is. My bed is in front of the front door of my mobile home. Every morning at dawn I wake up to a bright glow from the front door window. Now I can sleep in. No more glare.

Bought these to almost use as a canopy for my tears opening side windows and they work great. Really seems to hold up plenty of heat plus sunscreen for those times we wish it were dark. We obviously don't fasten them while moving/driving, but the included Velcro straps offer solid protection when we're standing. The only complaint is the color of the velcro, they are white which unfortunately doesn't contrast well with the dark windows, but that's really just personal preference.

Of course our bedroom will face south and the sun will shine on it all day. We were too hot in this room all season before I discovered it. Doesn't matter! In the back bedroom of our RV, the air conditioning does not work as well as in the rest of the RV. So when the sun shines all day, it can get almost unbearable at night. This changed the situation abruptly. Such a huge temperature difference that I almost couldn't believe it! You will not regret buying this item! I wish I had found it…

Perfect size for my van door window. I didn't use velcro but took another reviewer's advice and removed a few screws from the install window. I was worried it might tear so I put a small piece of thick clear tape on it before inserting the window screw which holds well in the wind even with the door open. I use these to protect my trailer from the sun during storage hoping to avoid UV damage. The material seems relatively thin and I'm concerned about how long it will last. It is held on with velcro so installation was very easy. Judging by the material and the price I think it can only last one season. This product is well made and works great in the summer as it reflects the sun and heat off the windows of our 5 wheeler campers. This definitely lowers the room temperature and allows the air conditioner to work more efficiently. In winter it helps to insulate windows because the product has small air pockets built into the structure that act as an insulator. Overall a great product.
