Sorry guys, very disappointed with this vise, especially after taking the time to ask previous customers about it and getting positive feedback. That's a shame because it's a beautifully made tool, but it doesn't hold bits or taps straight. Eyes slanting, but not exactly. Not sure if it's due to the 3 jaws or the machined head threads that close on the jaws. You have to look closely to see this and it's best seen by turning the crown, it's easy to see the bit or tap swinging elliptically and not staying straight. I would have given one star if it didn't come with 10 small drill bits that I can still use in my HO train endeavors. The shipping cost to ship back to China wasn't worth it so instead I got $3 and gave the tool to a woman I know who makes her own jewelry. He doesn't have to keep things straight for this job, just hold them. For precision drilling and tapping, this tool isn't for you. Do you recommend a good vise for pins up to 3.1mm?
