I ride leaning forward and prefer a slippery saddle. I love this seat. It has some big springs in the back that really help soften the suspension on bumps. I ride a hardtail MTB on mixed pavement, gravel and railroad tracks. The leather material is smooth, smooth and comfortable. I don't wear cycling shorts, but I've had no issues with shorts or pants and chafing. I don't wear soft shorts either. I installed this bike seat for my wife who sits more upright. She found it comfortable enough but prefers the larger memory foam seat. I think the initial feel of the seat is more than the comfort of the bumps in the seat. She is a less aggressive rider. While I like the classic look, black leather would suit my bike better.
