The "standard length " screws are 10mm long
On my 2003 BMW 330i the license plate screws are 8mm long. The extra 2mm will cause the ends of the bolts to pop out of the license plate bracket and rub against the paint. This is screwed directly into the bracket with my license plate. If you have a 2mm thick license plate frame these screws will work fine, but if you are not using a license plate frame they will be too long.
