First, let me say that these Alienware monitors are excellent. I already bought one of these in the NVidia G-Sync version and I really liked it. No dead pixels or other issues. It ran at 240Hz which allowed me to see 240 fps. I needed two more so I could run a triple monitor setup with the NVidea NV Surround option. Well, this is where I ran into some problems. I bought two of these AMD Free-Sync versions to pair with my G-Sync version. I thought I would save some money since they were cheaper. Well, the card didn't show anything above 144Hz when it was a combination of G-Sync and Free-Sync. I had to send them back and buy the G-Sync versions which I was able to get at 244Hz/244fps while still using the NV Surround setting on my graphics card (NVidea 2080 Super 8GB). Here are a few other differences between this and the G-Sync version as well. Alienware lighting effects are not available with AMD Free-Sync. It doesn't matter, but some people would like to be able to. The connection cable that comes with Free-Sync is an HDMI cable, but G-Sync includes a DP cable. I like Revain but ended up buying the monitors directly through Dell as they sold for less than $400 each.
