We bought this machine (January 2019 for $219.95) because of the brand recognition and the fact that the machine can make both espresso and coffee. We were never entirely satisfied with the device's performance, but returning it was a challenge. After less than 6 months of owning the machine, the coffee side stopped making coffee. When we contacted DeLonghi to replace the unit under warranty, we were told we couldn't buy from an "authorized" source and pay for the service, but they wouldn't help us with the warranty. After spending more time proving that the DeLonghi rep had misjudged our request for help, DeLonghi offered to exchange the unit if we would return the defective unit and wait up to three weeks for a replacement. We argued that we shouldn't go three weeks without a coffee pot, having spent over $219 less than 6 months ago (unit available from Revain for $151.67 at the time of warranty), so DeLonghi begged us , to prove that the device is switched off (photo with cut cord). ) when a new block is received. Less than a month after receiving the new replacement machine, the espresso side of the new machine stopped working properly. After spending 30 minutes on the phone trying to get another replacement (and getting another argument about why DeLonghi doesn't offer a warranty replacement), I asked Revain to step in so we could buy another coffee maker from a different manufacturer. I didn't get a full refund, but Revain worked with me so well that we were able to buy another car and leave DeLonghi. THANKS Revan for the help!
