Review on Surveillance Supported Security Recording RLK16 410B8 by Steven Ferguson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Thinking about video security? This is the one!

If you need a video surveillance system, this is for you. I've spent hours researching and testing various systems personally. In general, this system clearly stands out from others. Advantages: - higher resolution. This is so extremely important. Higher resolution means you can see identifying information from a greater distance. Most systems stop at HD 1080 or 720. Reolink goes one step further. PoE. Power over Ethernet allows for a very quick setup as you only have one cable for the return signal to the recorder AND the power supply. It also means that any holes you have to cut in your walls are much smaller. - Ethernet cable quality is very good, it's very flexible and fits easily through tight spaces. - Multiple ways to access the video stream . It's really nice to be able to access the UI and the recordings with my laptop/desktop, phone, tablet or Reolink recorder. Especially when it comes time to set up cameras. Being able to see the image from the camera on my phone made the process easier. - The motion tracking system is great for maximizing recording time and minimizing unnecessary recording and alerts. - Many other cameras for special needs that are 100% compatible and just need to be connected. - Lots of extra ports for more cameras. Cons: (These are pretty minimal) - Mounting screws are very easy to remove. This is a very common problem with screws these days. I really recommend not fiddling with the included and excellent package of #6 screws. Adjusting the motion sensitivity is a little tricky. This isn't really a complaint, but it does take some effort to get it right for your needs. I suggest taking your time and not expecting to get it right the first time.
