Bravo for making characters no one else makes. Boo for making the product so disappointing.

My 9 year old loves history, evolution and mysteries of the past. He was very happy to receive this toob as a birthday present. He plays with these guys all the time. I just want someone to make a quality product dedicated to this topic. So cheaply made, but so expensive to buy.

The conversation starts, but the boy talks about

good. It's interesting because the idea behind it is great. However, references to racism are worrying. I think this product could reflect evolution better by allowing all body hair to be removed while maintaining skin color. Based on the existing pigmentation, it can be assumed that the white person is the most developed. It is not true. This negates the clinical variability.

My 5 year old loved holding each one when his video came out

children were immediately interested in this series. Our only complaint is that 3 of them broke within 24 hours - they're not for rough play and they really wanted to interact with them. I showed all three kids several YouTube videos about each hominid and how they might live. My 5 year old enjoyed holding everyone while the video came out. It's REALLY nice to see a children's toy about human evolution. This is a rare treat!

Evolution in toys

This is a very cool set for anthropologists young and old. For children, this is a great way to start a discussion about hominin evolution. Each figure is unique and has distinctive details. It's not just the same figure painted differently or anything. My only complaint is that homo sapien is clearly proto-European. The African might have been more accurate. If you buy them for young children, they will have parts that little ones might want to chew on. So far mine are holding up well.

Outdated pictures, descriptions, but better than nothing

Glad they exist as educational materials for teaching evolutionary concepts to young children are hard to come by in our sometimes anti-scientific culture. Choice of models, it was a disappointing purchase. First, the scale: not only are the figures very small, they are scaled up or down to the same size, so when you put them side by side you can't tell which species of hominid was smaller. or more. That said, Australopithecus afarensis (average 4'11" for males and 3'5" for females) is the same
