Review on ๐ฌ๏ธ Aprilaire 5846 Whole Home Fan Powered Humidifier Installation Kit with Automatic Control - Compatible with Model 700 by Christy Wade
Overpriced, doesn't work.
This kit is terribly overpriced but worst of all it doesn't even work! The wires they provide are not long enough to reach the temperature sensor. must walk - it takes me at least 33ft to walk outside but the longest wire is only 25ft. Then there's the PEX liner tube which seems to be too flexible so the compression olive doesn't sit properly and doesn't seal properly causing water to splatter all over the place. I don't know if I can get it back since I've tried using it, but I think I'm sure I'll try to get it back - it's been 100% useless to me so far.
- HUMIDIFIER ELECTRICAL: 18/2 (25 ft) thermostat wire connects automatic control to outside temperature sensor, 18/2 (10 ft) thermostat wire connects automatic control to humidifier, 18/2 (10 ft) thermostat wire connects automatic oven control and (4) Screw Nut Connector
