Review on Borbede 168A Mini Portable Digital Multimeter: Accurate DC AC Voltage Current Capacitance Resistance Testing with NCV & True RMS Diode Tester by Kevin Tompkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent meter that offers consistent accuracy and calibration compared to some Fluke meters

Excellent meter that gives consistently accurate readings and is accurately calibrated (compared to the newly calibrated Fluke 117 as well as the Fluke 87V). Current protection is also better than many cheaper brands like the Uni-t 61e due to the larger ceramic fuses and additional circuitry. However, it's still not a Fluke in terms of protection, and the Fluke is still a little more stable at times at voltage regulation values (bounces back and forth a little less than the Borbede BD-99). These are very minor differences that do not affect the quality and accuracy of the readings. and in any case no one should buy meters of this class for serious electrical work.
