I have a very difficult jaw joint. When I first saw them - how tiny they look - I was stunned. How could they work in my big adult mouth?! Well they do, and it's beautiful! I bought these to replace the 3rd Special Night Guard I had lost in 20 years (each cost over $300). I have trouble swallowing saliva while sleeping. This material NEVER smells, NEVER tastes and NEVER gets sticky which means it doesn't feel or taste toxic like many mouthguards on the market. You have a choice of 2 positions to wear them. I wear them center front cut down like a V. My molars bite into them very comfortably - nice solid squelch that's almost fun actually! I don't spit them out in my sleep either! In the morning between uses I rinse it off under clear water and then soak it in a cup of clear warm water. I don't know if the soaking is necessary or not, but I do it anyway. Every few weeks I add about 1/4 of a mouthpiece cleaning tablet (not dentures!) and let it soak for about 15 minutes to get rid of germs. Although they are labeled "disposables" I had never worn one, felt, looked or functioned like new in any way. They help my jaw joint better than regular ones! This is a find for me!
