After opening them up I turned them on to see how they sounded. These are the loudest clippers I've ever bought, especially trimmers. There is no way to turn down the volume. I used a screwdriver to adjust the vibration and by default it's as loud as Hells Bells. So disappointed. It's my fault for not reading the reviews on this product. So I left the main hair trimmer, which works great but a bit noisy, and threw the edger in the trash and bought another $20 edger that is cordless.
