I bought the table and chairs that I love from a resale store less than a year ago. The fabric on the chairs was a beautiful white fabric. While I usually stayed away, they had a protective plastic sleeve "shod" over the fabric to protect them. Since it was permanent, I wasn't worried. Famous Last Words. It took my 3 kids (and my husband) about 2 months to rip or remove all but one of the covers. Then the fabric tore. It's Christmas time and I had to stretch this fabric for a while before having it done professionally. I stumbled across these cases and gave them a try. They are so soft and adapt to the seat of the chair as if they were padded in it. I unbolted the seats, put them on and reattached the seats so the straps didn't cover the sides. Although I know that taking them off to wash them would be a hassle in the long run. But right now I'm very happy.
