I've tried the knee braces that have a velcro strap that you cross under your knees for support and don't care for those, I prefer this kind. Overall this is a good supportive brace with thick weaving.• Sizing: My bent knee measured 15in which would be the Medium but I ordered up to the Large due to a lot of the other reviews saying its too small, and over concern that the top band would be too constricting. The top band did fit my lower thigh (16 in) snug but comfortably so that was a good fit, however I do wish the knee could be a bit more supportive/ tighter. The Medium is what would be the right size for the knee, but then the thigh would be too tight, so sizing is a little weird.
