Review on CASIO W-800H-1A Wrist Watch by Czesawa Makowska ᠌

I am satisfied, the purchase is quite successful.

Bought about a year ago. At first I was afraid that the plastic glass would be covered with scratches. But for the whole year they appeared in small numbers and are not very noticeable. The substantial thickness of the case even gives the watch some solidity in the spirit of G-Shock. The display is clear, contrasty - the time is "grasped" even with a fleeting glance and even in low light without backlighting. When you get to another time zone, it is easier to set the main clock by one hour than to switch to the "Dual-time" mode, in which the date disappears immediately and the day of the week. Of course, on all Casios, the progress lag is a little annoying - they could also implement a progress correction. The alarm clock has the function of setting its daily, monthly operation on a specific day of the week or date. But I didn’t remember all the subtleties of the settings, and I don’t want to carry the instructions with me. The Illuminator backlight is not uniform in the display area - the center of brightness is clearly visible in the lower left corner - even on cheap Chinese watches, the neon backlight is more evenly distributed. Although this almost does not interfere with the perception of time - the numbers are contrasting. The strap recently burst - I had to replace it. Perhaps the watch just needs to be taken off and put on less often, for less bending of the strap. In general, the balance of size and weight is well chosen - the watch on the hand is perceived quite comfortably, after a while you just stop feeling it - which makes it a good choice as an everyday watch for work and active recreation.

Pros
  • Lithium battery for 10 years, high-quality plastic case and glass, metal buttons and back cover.
Cons
  • There is no digital adjustment of the course, which the Belarusians have fully mastered in their "Electronics", the backlight is uneven (from the lower left corner to the upper right corner, the brightness drops).
