Bought this to play around with the pump design. Obviously the company that makes this cares a lot about the looks and giving the illusion of functionality. First they mold it into real septic tanks/municipal pumps, they even attach a handle to it which is the ultimate illusion. You will never carry it by the handle. it fits in the palm of your hand. But what is most frustrating and disgusting from a design standpoint is that there are many exterior designs that will make you believe this pump is well constructed and will pump a large amount of water. BUT all these cracks to fool the buyer. You look great. However, all water flowing through the pump is confined to a 0.75 inch hole just around the impeller. And it gets even worse. The actual impeller casing is limited to 1/2" (approx) as it exits the actual pump. When the casing is opened, the pump occupies less than 1/4 of the volume. Many smaller pumps are designed to pump water, and not to fool the customer. Buy one of them. It doesn't cost any money. I take it apart some more just to play around with an idea I had of using different impellers/propellers. Luckily I have a few RC props that can be small enough to see if what I want to do with a much larger pump will work before spending money on more expensive motors and props.
