As many have said this item looks a lot more expensive than the price would suggest. The woodwork and fittings are beautiful. There's enough room inside for a couple of blankets or pillows, and the hinge has a mechanism that keeps it from closing until you push it down, so don't worry about it slamming shut. The only problem was that we ended up with two identical sides, so we had to drill holes in the appropriate place on one side to make it work. (This didn't affect the look of the trunk as the markings are on the inside.) It was a little tricky to put together. Recommend two people if possible to make sure everything lines up perfectly. However, it turned out beautifully and I'm thrilled, especially for the very low price!
