Review on Dritz Ergonomic Small Seam Ripper by Angela Rodriguez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not for the impatient

I was very excited when I first received it because it feels so good in my hand and the texture is nice to the touch. The blade is thin and sharp, making it easy to penetrate between seams and easily cut threads. However, I only bought this because I lost my old one which was small and a bit cumbersome, but I've had it for decades and inherited it from my mother who had it for who knows how long. I've only made a few projects over the years, but when I made them I was very crude with this little ripper. I abused this by using it to indent "this shouldn't work like this" statements. The first time I did that to this little ripper, it broke in half. Right after that I found my old ripper which is so old the plastic handle has cracked but it has gone through two more projects and not because I got rid of my bad habits in the way I use it - it only has a thicker blade, so unlike this fragile, thin blade, it is very durable. But he has a great pen. If you're not as strict with your rippers as I am, this is a great little tool.

Pros

Cons
  • I don't remember
