Whatever I pour into this glass, not only does it keep it cold, it stays nice and cold for some time. I add various alcoholic beverages here, but I also add other non-alcoholic beverages. When it comes down to it, I've found that if I use ice and then put a lid on top, as long as I have a lid that closes on top, the ice stays firm and keeps my drink nice and cold for a long time. If I use another lid that keeps popping open while keeping my drink nice and cold, the ice melts a little faster than if I have another lid that actually seals everything. When it comes to cleaning, I hand wash it, but it also comes with a straw cleaner that really cleans the straw. The straw is metal, as is the cup. However, if you put some citrus in this cup, it has a slightly metallic taste. I already knew that about metal cups though, so I'm going to put things other than citrus drinks in this cup. No matter how many times I use and wash this mug, the print and color still stays on this mug. Very well made mug and fully insulated to keep my drinks nice and cold.
