Not all glass for container sets

Well when I first saw these I thought what a great find. From the descriptions I read I assumed it would be FULL GLASS but it isn't. The upper part is made of some kind of "plastic" that mimics glass. Underneath the plastic sheet is some sort of foam gasket, similar to coated styrofoam. I thought it would be "all glass" but it isn't and I don't think it will meet my needs. i will return it
