Stupidity on the part of VAG to put such a terrible piece of plastic in such a critical spot

This piece saved my ass. Stupidity by VAG to put such a terrible piece of plastic in such a critical spot. I was changing spark plugs and then out of nowhere I was flooded with hot coolant. The lowest price I've found for an original is over $200 because you have to buy the entire hose assembly.
