Review on πŸ–€ Black Sure-Fit Front Mat by Wade - Model 72-110069 by Nick Grays

Not the quality I expected!

I decided to try these as I need quality molded floor mats. I tried the Husky on our company trucks (for heavy road construction) and found them absolutely useless, all 9 trucks ended up with the same result. Then I switched to WeatherTech. I loved them, they lasted, lasted, fit well and stayed in place well. I needed a kit for my personal car but didn't want to pay for Weathertech as I feel the price is too high despite a quality product. When reading reviews of Wade floor mats, people would claim Wade was better than WeatherTech. I decided to try them as they were a fair price. I received mine and the first thing I noticed was that the velcro you tape to the bottom had the release paper pushed to one side leaving a small patch of exposed adhesive around the edge of the velcro. Each floor mat is wrapped in plastic and the plastic is bonded with glue. The plastic did not separate from the adhesive. This leaves the edge of the velcro covered with a piece of plastic and thus the edge of the velcro sticks to the rocker panel. It ended up not sticking and I had to buy a new piece of Velcro. Second, the "Wade" logo/decal on the driver's side was placed upside down and off-center on the mat. I had to remove the sticker and turn it over. Once removed, the sticker will most likely not stay in place, we'll see. The fit of the plank to the plank is good. The fit around the driver and passenger side panels is not very good, there is a 3/8 inch gap. These floor mats fit under the brake and accelerator pedals, unlike some, including those on comparable Fords. However, there are other models that go beyond this that I would like to see. These floor mats do NOT completely cover the driver's side footrest to the left of the step bar. Why don't you completely cover where you put your feet, at least where your feet should be resting. The thickness of the carpet did not impress me. Weathertech is definitely a heavier build and thicker plastic. They are not that heavy and thick. I doubt they will survive. The weight of your feet cannot withstand the strength versus strength, so only your feet leaning on it can deform these rugs. I don't think I would recommend them but they aren't the worst I've seen. Time will tell about the durability. If you're willing to spend the money buy WeatherTech, if you want a decent floor mat but don't want WeatherTech's price then they might be for you. Depending on where you buy them the price difference may be negligible, if so then that's not a problem. I would give them 3 stars but the sticker/logo was on the back and the velcro/packaging issue is how it passed the QA (Quality Assurance). Either the QA is bad or they expect such a standard of quality. ?
