For a $16 pair of headphones these headphones have great sound and durability. Add to that the fact that these headphones have "tangle-resistant" and flexible cords, custom headphone sizes, are compatible with phone calls on my galaxy s4, have a gold-plated connector, and have a diagonal connector, you might consider these headphones to be a bargain. It's been over a year since I've used my pair but they're still holding up mostly intact! Both headphones still work, the bass is still good and the sound hasn't distorted yet (at all frequencies and at least in the bass as far as my young ears can pick up). However, the flickering started happening more frequently about two months before this review was written. The only downside to these headphones is that they come off fairly easily, especially if wax gets on them. Because of this, I didn't wear these headphones when I was sprinting or exercising. The headphone case is also cheap (but there shouldn't be any complaints here as these things only cost $16 instead of say $150). In addition, using these devices to make calls in a noisy environment can be annoying since the microphone does not filter out background noise. At the same time, the microphone also picks up heavy breathing. Unfortunately, like all good things in life, I foresee that these headphones won't last me more than 13 months, which ranks them with the Klipsch as the 2nd most durable headphones of all time (i.e. on my list of purchased headphones). Brings S4 headphones are the most durable headphones I've ever used; these things lasted almost 2 years. Note that the Klipsch s4 is also almost 5x the price of these headphones! Be wary of the fact that I don't get my headphones tangled, that I've never dropped them in water, or that I've subjected them to mechanical testing (which would probably require my 330lb friend to step on to see , whether they can still be used afterwards.) On a scale of 1 to 10 I give these headphones an 8.8 and would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for cheap but good headphones. Remember that these things only last if they are properly cared for. If you're the type of person who scatters their headphones around the house once they're finished, don't expect them to last more than a few months (or weeks). If your ears are prone to sweating (like mine) or you're looking for training headphones, you might want to consider wearing a different pair of headphones (preferably one that has a small part that digs into your earlobe, whatever the name).
