My lashes are perfectly straight and droop slightly. They are not particularly short or long. Not very thick and rare. The eyelash curler was completely useless for me. I'll cover the pros and cons and try to include some helpful tips. I'm not a professional and this is the first time I've tried an eyelash curler of any kind. Pro: My lashes got a GOOD curl and that's the main thing! I had to redo the eye I started with, for which I didn't use enough fixative solution. The second time I just swallowed what was there. It seems to make all the difference. Cons: There were no instructions included. No big deal. YouTube is littered with tutorial videos so I watched a few. There is one for this particular kit - homemade but I found it very useful. In case you are wondering: [.] The silicone eye pads are too big. My eyes are 2.5-3 cm from corner of eye to corner of eye. The pads are longer, making them difficult to place; As such, the edges tend to pop out of my eyelids, making it difficult to stick those lashes onto the pad. And the jagged edge made it too big to even fit on my eyelid. So I trimmed off the jagged edge and some of the sides, which helped. Then it was trial and error until I found it in the right place. Please note: the uneven side is to prevent the eyelid from sticking to the skin under the eyebrow. Depending on the shape of your eyes, this may or may not be a problem for you. This was a problem for me, but it was easy to unzip and I was more careful when doing the next eye. Additional note: Since my lashes are so straight, it took me quite a bit of effort and persistence to get them to stick to my eye pads without coming loose. I must have applied 5 or 6 layers of glue to the eye pad and then directly to the lashes. I applied a layer to the pad and a little to the lashes, then used the beveled edge of the orange stick to press the lashes against the pad. I went back and forth — glued, glued lashes, glued, glued lashes — until they were all glued. used it once. However, I still have a lot of all the solutions. I will update my review once it's done. Update: I've had the kit for a few months now. During that time I used it about every six weeks and got 5 uses of it. I have a lot of product left, but I didn't get the same frizz on my last perm as I did in the first four uses. May be user error. If I don't get a good curl next time, I reckon the product lasts about 8 months before it wears off. Then I update.
