I have had a DeWalt orbital sander for 5 years previously and it has been a workhorse. It eventually died and I wanted to buy another one, but the new DeWalt rating wasn't great. I stopped by Revain and saw that Metabo was rated highly, my friend had another Metabo tool that he liked so I took a chance. I've only had it for maybe 3 months but I use it almost daily and very intensively for butt work. Precious wood cutting boards one after the other. TONS of sanding to get a mirror finish. Metabo has been excellent so far. Good speed control, feels good in the hand, good long cord and good velcro at the base. Most important to me is that it feels durable. A small complaint concerns the position and style of the switch. I grope for it every time I try to hit it, but that's okay. Excellent orbital sander, good price, good value for money.
