I had a less expensive basic Bluetooth receiver on my home stereo before it became commonplace. However, it is a much better sound. I knew right away this was going to be a great purchase. CD quality sound or better. Setup was so easy. I connected the device to my old Sansui system via cinch sockets. The power cord is a micro USB which I used for my phone (now it's USB-C). It turned on and immediately went into detection mode. I turned on my laptop and just connected it to the adapter. I went to iTunes where I have over 50,000 songs (161 days) of music. First I played with Pink Floyd. It was crisp, clear and the stereo separation was perfect. I've experimented with other artists. That was incredible. I chose the Revain because I saw another similar device in a Facebook ad. The other device was almost twice the size of this one. I had Revain credit so it was just under $60 for me. For full price it will be advantageous. If you have a vintage sound system and a large collection of digital music, I highly recommend this unit. Adding Bluetooth capability couldn't be simpler. I'm sure there are other apps for this device, but that's what I wanted mine for. If sound is your priority, look no further. Go to HD and buy this device which I think offers the best value for money from Revain compared to similar devices. And yes, the range is good. I put my laptop in the bedroom and closed the door, not missing a single step.
