I remember this was a staple at my mom's house a long time ago so I decided to give it a try to see if I could get the time between coloring my hair could lengthen. I'm in my 50's and my very dark brown hair shows a lot of light white/grey. I did not smear the white roots at all, I was very disappointed. Also, it was messy because I had to keep adding more and then trying to dry it out. Bad experience when trying to hide grey/white.
